OBJECTIVES

  • Work independently to maintain the overall appearance and functionality of all Slick Rock locations within a region.
  • Plan routes to minimize drive time and return trips, ensuring all necessary tools, equipment & parts are available to complete the day’s tasks.
  • Manage competing requests and schedule work in terms of priority and urgency to mitigate safety concerns promptly and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Perform routine & preventative maintenance on sun, spa, and spray equipment such as deep cleaning beds, removing and cleaning acrylics, cleaning and replacing filters, re-lamping, etc. 
  • Troubleshoot all technical and mechanical issues as they pertain to facilities and equipment, including spa equipment, spray tan booths, and sunbeds, computers and hardware, appliances, and mechanical/ HVAC, etc.
  • Anticipate, identify and correct any and all problems involving the facilities and/or tanning and spa equipment.
  • Thorough completion of repair work and maintenance tasks to ensure first-time fix rate within departmental standards.
  • Assist with installation and moving units, big event setup/ teardown, etc.
  • Perform minor non-licensed plumbing and electrical repairs such as leaky faucets, outlet repair, ballasts, etc.
  • General carpentry work including drywall repair, painting, etc. 
  • Consistently and accurately track time to complete preventative maintenance and repair work; keep equipment and facilities maintenance logs up to date.
  • Maintain clean work areas and leave job sites in better condition than when you arrived. 
  • Work with salon staff and others to uphold Slick Rock policies and requirements.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, vendors, and stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude, especially when completing repetitive / routine maintenance tasks.
  • Mental stamina and endurance; ability to stay resourceful and results-oriented, especially in the face of challenging or complex problems.
  • Eagerness to seek out continuous process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and employee development to enhance overall performance.
  • Ability to maintain basic maintenance records for equipment and facilities.
  • Ability to understand written directions in manuals and on manufacturer websites to effectively perform maintenance tasks.
  • Tech-savvy and computer literate; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED required 
  • Experience in maintenance, construction or related field preferred
  • Electrical or mechanical basic knowledge preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record
  • Experience using a variety of manual and power tools

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facilities, access all parts of the company equipment, and move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
  • Prolonged periods standing, walking, crouching, bending, or kneeling.
  • Ability to climb a ladder while carrying up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at a time; ability to team lift 100+ lbs
  • Physical stamina and endurance required for 8+ hours shifts
  • Prolonged or intermittent periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer or driving in a vehicle
  • Position may require travel: Up to 20%
  • Perform work with OSHA required PPE

Pay: $18-22 + incentive pay

  • 7:45am to 3:45pm
