POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities Manager to oversee the operations of our spa facilities. The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment, facilities, and services across our wellness spa chain. This individual plays a critical role in upholding our commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences while driving revenue growth and maximizing profitability. This individual should possess strong organizational and leadership skills, along with a passion for maintaining high standards of facility operations and customer satisfaction.

OBJECTIVES

  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all tanning beds, spray booths, sauna pods, float pods, and other equipment are properly maintained and serviced regularly to prevent downtime and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Facility Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep of all facilities, including cleanliness, repairs, and general maintenance to create a welcoming and safe environment for clients and staff and ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary equipment, supplies, and services at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards. 
  • Budget Collaboration: Collaborate with other appropriate management staff to prepare and implement the budget for facilities maintenance, equipment upgrades, and operational expenses to optimize resource allocation and control costs. 
  • Staff Training: Train and supervise service team to ensure technicians are properly trained in equipment operation, safety procedures, and maintenance tasks to efficiently handle day-to-day operations.
  • Workflow Management: Oversee the daily workflow, scheduling, and assignments of the equipment and facilities department to ensure efficient operations and timely completion of tasks.
  • Performance Evaluations: Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations for the service team, providing feedback and support to optimize performance and professional development.
  • Customer Experience: Monitor client feedback and address any facility-related issues promptly to enhance the overall customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans for each facility, including protocols for fire, medical emergencies, and other unexpected events to ensure the safety of clients and staff.
  • Energy Efficiency: Implement energy-saving measures, such as upgrading to LED lighting, optimizing HVAC systems, and using energy-efficient equipment to reduce utility costs and minimize environmental impact.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Expansion Support: Assist in the setup and maintenance of new facilities, including project management, facility planning, equipment installation, and operational readiness, to support company expansion efforts.
  • Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate files of warranties, records, licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contracts for various pieces of equipment to ensure compliance and facilitate efficient maintenance processes.
  • Inventory Control & Management: Manage the inventory, storage, and distribution of equipment, supplies, and spare parts, to ensure adequate stock levels, efficient resource utilization, uninterrupted operations, and timely repairs.
  • Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the spa chain.

  • Recordkeeping: Ability to maintain basic records and warranties for equipment and facilities.
  • Following Written Directions: Ability to understand written directions in manuals and on manufacturer websites to effectively perform maintenance tasks.
  • Proficiency in Software Usage: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years proven experience in facilities management, preferably in the spa, hospitality, or wellness industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of spa equipment and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and regulatory standards related to spa operations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.  
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facilities, access all parts of the company equipment, and move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
  • Position may require travel: Up to 75%
  • Perform work with OSHA required PPE

Schedule/Hours:

Monday to Friday, 730am-430pm 

Weekends and extended hours as needed

Travel: 

Local travel (Spokane/CDA): Up to 75%

Out of town travel (new locations/new markets): Up to 10%

Pay:

$55,000 - $65,000 + 10% incentive compensation
