POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an inspirational, dedicated, and driven Salon Manager to oversee the operations of a Slick Rock Tanning & Spa location, leading the team to achieve and surpass revenue goals in line with the company’s vision and strategy while fostering a culture of exceptional service, cultivating long-term relationships with clients. The Salon Manager is responsible for ensuring their spa location is running at the highest possible level of efficiency, monitoring and controlling costs, maximizing revenue and profitability. This dynamic leader coaches staff for high performance and creates a positive work environment through continuous mentorship and feedback, aligning each team member’s goals with the goals of the organization. OBJECTIVES

  • Deliver Outstanding Customer Service: Ensure every client receives exceptional service and leaves satisfied with their experience. Promote a culture of hospitality, address and resolve client complaints, and ensure a great experience for each client.
  • Recruitment and Staffing: Anticipate turnover, conduct screening and interviews, and recruit talented salon staff members who meet mandatory position requirements. 
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Lead and align team efforts to surpass revenue targets, enhance client loyalty and retention, and drive growth in line with the company's vision and objectives.
  • Performance Evaluation: Facilitate, track, and evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance, setting goals for Sales Consultants accordingly.
  • Performance Management and Training: Conduct one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and provide training and guidance to sales consultants. Conduct coaching and corrective actions in line with company policy.
  • Develop Future Leaders: Cultivate a high-performance culture through continuous staff development and mentorship, focusing on nurturing future leaders, including the ASM.
  • Promotional Activities and Implementation: Distribute promotional material, ensure the salon executes new rollouts and embraces best practices, and lead the team through changes.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Communicate and implement company initiatives, policies, and processes, provide leadership, and foster a positive team environment.
  • Foster Team Relationships: Cultivate a positive and cohesive team environment where members feel valued, motivated, and supported.
  • Lead by Example: Set high standards of performance and behavior for yourself and inspire team members to follow suit.
  • Maintain Positive Attitude and Resilience: Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and resilience in the face of challenges, while remaining open-minded and adaptable to learning from mistakes.

  • Work Schedule Optimization: Prepare work schedules for all salon staff members to ensure workflow demands are being met and/or exceeding sales goals and to ensure that all shifts are covered where and when necessary while avoiding overtime.
  • Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the company.

  • Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of tanning and spa services, procedures, and policies.
  • Problem-Solving and Leadership: Strong problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to mentor and motivate a team.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to collaborate with team members and executives, and work effectively under pressure. 
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Windows, Google Suite, and similar software programs. 
  • Adaptability and Accountability: Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment, attend meetings, complete required training, and respond to team communications outside of standard office hours.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Understanding and managing one's own emotions, as well as those of others, is crucial for building strong relationships, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED required 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Business Management or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience working in a salon or spa required 
  • 4+ years of experience in progressive leadership required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods standing, walking, bending, or kneeling
  • Prolonged or intermittent periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at a time
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the salon, access all parts of the salon equipment, and move safely in confined spaces

Pay: $21-25/hr + commission + incentive

On target earnings $29-$35/hr

Schedule:

  • 8.5 hour shifts
  • Requires open availability
  • Mondays & Tuesdays + 3 other days of the week (variable); rotating weekends
  • On call as necessary

Supplemental pay types:
